The level of morality that the nation faces is at a crisis level. Since God was barred from schools and other public places, the nation has been slipping into the abyss! Morality and God are scorned by the liberal elite everywhere from education to entertainment. It is NOT the type of economic system America has but the Godlessness we see being imposed everywhere that has destroyed the moral fiber of America and too many Americans. It is the sinfulness of the people that is the ruination of this or any economic system. Ron, you are right to be pessimistic except that we know our God is in control. We know the lessons of Scripture and we only need to stay faithful to the one who brought us here!

I completely agree that the most prevailing root of issues in the country today is that of a decomposition of values. Yet, I would like to point out a few things that are much harder to answer.

Your proposal for 're-instilling' values into this country is a plan that would take probably more than 10 generations. What you are alluding to is basically a mass conversion over time through a particular faith in order to pressure these values back into the lives of the people. I really do not see any other way for your idea to work without massive deportation and bloodshed. Cultural values are so polarized this day and age, I truly and honestly believe that re-instilling good morals and values is completely impossible without a truly divine intervention. God has surprised mankind before, but based on the character that I know about him.. He wants to see what we will do to fix this.

Secondly, I do not believe you have approached the real root to the values problem. MOST academics, intellectuals, and politicians refuse to talk about the truth of the matter. The true root to the loss of values is none other than our own form of economy. There is no way around it. Capitalism breeds inequality. This has been proven. The reason no-one wants to talk about it is because the proof that we see today was forecast decades ago by none other than Karl Marx.

Now stay with me please, unless you are still in the Cold-War mindset of passing judgement and hate. Capitalism teaches and reinforces the ideas of pushing yourself to the extreme limit to achieve the most you can. This achievement is in the form of money. The mindset itself detracts from ideals of learning to be humble and satisfied with what you have.. from here you can easily connect the dots into our education system. We as a country have not completely given into extreme market capitalism in the past. There were many examples of the people standing up to this oppressive economy and one such example is that of unions.

In the end, the results will always be the same with capitalism that is UNRESTRICTED. People will always sacrifice their own morals and values in order to achieve the American Dream of owning more than anyone else. It's all about competition. Actually, it's all about destroying your competition through mergers, monopolies, and oligopolies.

I do have to admit, another huge hurdle to overcome would be the fact that our initial allowance of Christian immigrants spread to all sorts of races, religion, and creed. While I am not saying this is a bad thing, I will say that your idea of re-instilling values would never reach very far into these different sub-cultures. There is just too many differing opinions. That is the very nation we aimed to build, one that had GREAT INTENTIONS, but will ultimately cause more strife than any other attempt to control others in the form of a nation.
